What does creativity feel like?

The most notable feeling associated with creativity is the “Aha!” moment, but creativity is much more than that. It is a process of exploration, understanding, progression, inspiration, and allowing one’s mind to rest, daydream, search, synthesize, and evolve.  

It is this process that we were interested in hearing about from our designers. In such an artistic and creative profession, we wanted to know: How do you spark your creativity when you aren’t feeling creative?

Glamorous Chicago Wedding: Jessica & Stephen

After 8 years of being together, Jessica and Stephen exchanged vows in a stunning waterfront ceremony in front of their closest friends and family. In the words of the bride, “While the vows and ceremony of the wedding were important to us, we both just wanted to celebrate our love and all we had accomplished together — graduating college, Stephen becoming a doctor, myself entering Northwestern for grad school — with a beautiful party. The thought of having everyone we loved in one place was electrifying… Our brothers were even the ones to marry us. Creative & Casual Vintage Wedding: Jasmine & Ben

Jasmine and Ben decided to take a hands-on approach to their wedding, held in Broken Head, Australia, to reflect their laid-back and creative style. From the bride: It was very important to us that we were comfortable with our ceremony and reception. I know everyone says the same thing but we did really want our wedding to reflect the people we are. We walked down the aisle together which everyone really loved, we made almost everything ourselves, including the cake, the furniture, the wedding dress and the centerpieces. In the end, we were rewarded with praise and comments from our guests telling us that we had achieved what we set out to, and that they had a great time. Simon Hunter was able to beautifully capture every special moment of the day!
