Tiffany and David were married in May at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. They made their wedding extra special by personalizing the tiniest details and using their own creativity to coordinate and embellish in a way we’ve never seen! We were so inspired by their custom Greenvelope invitations, with engagement and wedding details and photography, that we  had to interview the happy couple to get the inside scoop. Afterall, “the details are what truly make a unique event.”

Tiffany and David chose a color scheme that was, “bright, fun and different. Colors that stood out in photos,” which is how they settled upon blue and red. In addition, they found that the colors together lent itself to “a slightly vintage feel.” As animal lovers who featured two dogs on their invite, the couple brought an animal ambassador to their wedding, Winnie the penguin was well suited to the job as “she was already dressed in her formal attire.”

TIPS   from   TIFFANY   and   DAVID

FIRST            Incorporate little pieces of both bride and groom throughout the event; throw in unexpected splashes of color like bright socks, paint the underside of your shoes to match the colors; get creative with your cake topper and centerpieces by incorporating things that are meaningful to the both of you.

THEN          DIY, a tried and true way to add that personal touch;  buttons for the boutonnieres, corks for the place card holders, an old typewriter in place of a guest book.

FINALLY    Stay true to yourself, “Planning a wedding can be overwhelming.  Everyone you’ve ever known will gladly offer their opinion about what you should do.  Remember to stay true to yourself and your spouse.”
