Maris Events

Maris Events invited guests with Greenvelope‘s wedding invitation design, “Berries and Blossoms” by Petra Kern, to the unveiling of Thomas Family Farm as a new wedding venue.  For the party, they embraced the fact that the venue is a working farm and drew inspiration from farmers markets, wood, metal, fruits, vegetables, foliage, and herbs. The color palette of the event was neutral with the only colors coming from fruit, vegetable, and floral displays.

Maris

Style Me Pretty described the styled shoot by Rick+Anna Photography as a Farm to Table Inspiration Shoot with florals from En Fleur Event Design and food from Cabbage Patch Restaurant.

From Maris Events…The head table, provided by Seattle Farm Tables, was the piece de resistance. The dark clean foundation of the barn wood tables with the shine of the copper mugs, crusty baguettes wrapped in paper, and the bounty of organic matter cascading down the center. The simplicity of the ceremony decor was charming: the wood ladders swathed with a green garland and unexpected vegetables and fruits here and there. Bohemian paradise. We schemed up ways we could make cool paper elements for the table, and ended up creating seed packets as favors and wrapped baguettes with name tags as the place cards for each setting.

Through the model’s attire and the rentals (such as the vintage furniture), we brought elements of elegance into the barn – juxtaposed by some of the more playful elements such as the cake table and the brilliant Charcuterie display on the English Market Cart provided by Vintage Ambiance. One of our favorite elements of the Charcuterie cart was the “Cheese Cake” provided by Cabbage Patch Restaurant – the perfect pairing with the gourmet meats and vegetables for the guests.

Throughout this shoot, we really wanted to showcase how you can use local and organic elements to dress up a farm venue into something truly beautiful, unique, and elegant – all while keeping things local and intimate.
