How to Send Quinceañera Invitations Online, in English and Spanish, and Track RSVPs

Send quinceañera invitations online in Spanish and English, with household RSVPs, meal choices, and reminders, in six verified steps and a dated example.

Greenvelope lets you personalize quinceañera invitations in English and Spanish, send them by email or by text message in supported countries, and track RSVPs on the invitation. Add each invited person by name, including household members, set the event language, and set up the RSVP page with the reply date and a meal question; on a paid account you can also share a household's personalized link over WhatsApp. Guests can submit their RSVP without creating an account, and you can send reminder emails to those who have not replied before the caterer's deadline.

Your guest list may include people who prefer English, Spanish, or both, and it often spans grandparents, padrinos, cousins, and a court of honor with its own schedule. Choose each guest's delivery channel using their stated preference, reliable contact details, and past responsiveness. This guide walks through the six steps in Greenvelope's own interface, using the labels from its help center, then a dated example for a 180-person celebration. Greenvelope is this guide's recommendation for digital quinceañera invitations with RSVP tracking because it combines artist-designed invitations, an ad-free experience, and RSVPs without a guest account; if you are still choosing a service, our comparison of the best digital quinceañera invitation platforms covers the alternatives; if you are composing the card, the quince invitations wording guide on our blog covers host lines, Mass details, and verses.

  • Pick a design from the quinceañera collection, choose Spanish or English for the event language under Details, and write your invitation wording in both languages; a custom language template lets you rewrite the button labels yourself
  • Write both languages on the same card, each carrying every essential fact: the hosts, the quinceañera's full name, the date, the reception location and time, any ceremony details, the reply date, and the dress code
  • Add each family as a household under one primary contact so one link reaches them and the person replying records a separate response for each named guest; every named person counts toward the guest list size
  • Collect meal choices with a multiple choice survey question on the RSVP page, check in your proof send that a household's meal answers identify each attending person's choice, and use a checkbox question for ceremony and reception attendance
  • Set the RSVP date by working backward from the earliest caterer or venue final-count deadline, leaving a few days for follow-up; for a celebration with a ceremony and a catered reception, this guide recommends sending invitations 6 to 8 weeks ahead, and suggests a save the date 2 to 3 months out for traveling relatives
  • Single mailings start at $19 for a guest list of up to 20 people, with pricing based on list size and no subscription required. Paid accounts start with 500 text messages, with more available to purchase

How to Send Quinceañera Invitations Online, Step by Step

Greenvelope's mailing has four steps across the top of the screen, Design, Details, Send, and Track, and the six steps below follow that order. The interface labels are the ones its help center documents on November 8, 2026.

1. Choose a quinceañera design and set the event language

Start in the quinceañera invitation collection, which listed 48 designs on November 8, 2026. Mis Quince Años by Raven Erebus pairs a photo panel with white line-drawn roses on a deep red card and Spanish lettering drawn into the artwork; Classic Papel Picado by Pink House Press is a pale pink card shaped like a papel picado banner, a digital effect rather than a cut card, with the name in bold capitals. Each lists its colorways and editable fonts on its product page; lettering drawn into the artwork stays as drawn, and changing it is an optional paid custom design service.

Then open the Details step, click the Information section, expand Advanced Options, and set the Language Settings box. Greenvelope's event language setting supports English, Spanish, German, French, and Dutch, and it controls the guest-facing text around the invitation, such as the RSVP buttons and headings. Your own wording and questions appear in whatever language you write them. One event has one language setting, so for a mixed list choose the language more of your guests will want on the buttons, and write the card itself in both. If you want the Yes and No buttons to read, say, Sí, asistiré and No podré asistir, create a custom language under your account name, fill in only the fields you want to change, and select it for the event.

2. Write the card in English and Spanish

Greenvelope's designs hold both languages in the same editable text areas, so the usual layout is two stacked blocks, Spanish first when most of the family reads Spanish first. Each block carries every essential fact: who is hosting, the quinceañera's full name, the date, the reception with its venue and time, any ceremony details such as a Mass with its church and time, the reply date, and the dress code. Use the same actual venue names in both languages. Write the Spanish deadline as "a más tardar el [fecha]", which includes the date itself, and spell the weekday and month out in both languages. The formal wording below is one complete invitation; replace every bracketed placeholder and check each weekday against a calendar.

For a casual card the same facts fit in fewer lines ("Join us as Valeria turns fifteen" and "Acompáñanos a celebrar los quince de Valeria"), and the padrinos can be named in the details panel rather than on the card. Keep the two blocks equivalent in meaning rather than word for word; our guide to bilingual English-Spanish invitation wording covers the date formats, the usted and ustedes choice, and a proofreading checklist that applies just as well here. Put the court of honor's rehearsal time, parking, and hotel block in the details panel, where there is room.

3. Build the guest list by household

Greenvelope treats the household as the unit a quince list is built from. On the Send step, click Add Contacts, choose New Contact, then the Couple or Family option, pick the group size, and enter each member's name; an email or phone number is optional for the other members, and anyone whose contact details you add receives the card too (grouping couples and families). The Couple or Family Greeting, such as Familia Herrera López, appears on the envelope in place of the list of names. Every named member counts toward the mailing's guest list size: a family of five counts as five people even though they share one link. A long list imports from an Excel or CSV file, a webmail account, or your address book (importing contacts).

Match the channel to each family. A contact with an email address receives the invitation by email. A contact with a mobile number in the phone field receives it by text message in supported countries; paid accounts start with 500 text messages, with more available to purchase. For a relative who answers only on WhatsApp, on a paid account open the dropdown at the far right of the contact row in the Send step and choose Copy Link / Send Plain Text, then paste that household's personalized invitation link into your own WhatsApp message; the help article also documents a WhatsApp logo on the row of a contact saved without an email address. Greenvelope does not track WhatsApp delivery or read receipts, and a chat reply does not automatically update the RSVP record; guests respond through the invitation, or you record their confirmed answers manually on Track. If a guest prefers paper, a paid account lets you save a high-quality card file to print yourself; Greenvelope does not print or mail invitations. Put your contact information on the printed copy ("Please call or text [host name] at [phone number] by May 1 to let us know whether each person can attend"), then record a separate attendance response for each named guest on Track.

4. Set up the RSVP page: reply date, meal choices, and the court

Greenvelope's RSVP page lives under Details, in the RSVP Page section. Set the requested RSVP date there and repeat it in the wording; RSVPs do not close automatically at the deadline, so closing is a separate action you take later. Then add survey questions in the four documented formats: a multiple choice question for the meal, with the caterer's actual menu as its options; a checkbox question asking which parts the guest will attend (Misa, Recepción); a dropdown for adults versus children when the caterer prices them differently; and a write-in for song requests. Questions appear after a guest selects an RSVP response, and each answer saves to that guest's record. In your proof send, check that a household's meal answers identify each attending person's choice; if you would rather collect one answer per household, use a write-in instead ("Indica el nombre y la comida elegida por cada persona que asistirá. / List each attending guest's name and meal choice."). Write each question in both languages on one line ("Elija su platillo / Choose your entree").

Two more settings matter for a quince. Tags can target a survey question to specified contacts, which is useful for the court of honor; if a court member shares a household invitation, check who can see and answer the question before relying on it for rehearsal attendance, and otherwise confirm the rehearsal with the court directly. And set the Plus 1 allowance per invitee where a guest may bring a date; the allowance is permission, not an attendance count, and companion names are collected only when you configure the plus-one settings to collect or require them. If the venue has a firm limit, the maximum capacity setting caps how many guests can respond yes. Our guide to custom RSVP questions shows each format in use.

5. Check both languages before you send

Greenvelope's trial mode sends to up to 10 people with no credit card required, which is the right way to proof a bilingual card: send it from a separate test mailing to yourself, the quinceañera, and one relative who reads Spanish first, and read it on a phone. Schedule Send goes to unsent contacts, so keep the proof copies out of the real guest list, or check the send status of anyone who received a trial invitation and confirm how they will receive the final one. Then preview the final invitation, read it on a phone, confirm the guest list and the reply-to address, and test every link and calendar entry. Check the accents and the ñ in every line, the weekday against the date in both languages, that the Spanish and English blocks name the same church, hall, times, and reply date, the RSVP buttons in the language you set, and each survey question, including how a household's meal answers come back. Trial mode cannot copy a guest's personalized link or create a shareable link, so test the WhatsApp route after you purchase.

6. Send or schedule, then track replies and follow up

Greenvelope sends the invitation immediately to the contacts you select, or you can click Schedule Send and choose the date and time; a scheduled send goes to every unsent contact, including families you add after scheduling. With the Delivery Optimizer enabled, unopened email and text invitations are resent 3 days after the initial send, skipping guests who opened or responded; a WhatsApp link or a printed card needs its own follow-up. On Track, you can send or schedule RSVP reminder emails to guests who have not replied, send phone-only contacts a text through the Message Center on a paid account in supported countries (or a personal text asking them to reply on the invitation), and record a reply a tía gives you by phone against her household. A guest who said yes but skipped the meal question needs a targeted message, not a reminder. Before the caterer's deadline, review outstanding replies and missing meal answers, follow up once more, close RSVPs yourself, then export the guest list and RSVPs to Excel or CSV for the seating chart and the count. If the hall or the time changes, you can edit the card for up to five months after sending and guests see the updated card at their existing link; message them directly about the change as well.

Valeria's Quinceañera, From the List to the Caterer's Count: An Illustrative Example

Greenvelope's Track page is where a bilingual quince list comes together, so here is one celebration from start to finish. The Delgado family is hosting Valeria's quinceañera on Saturday, May 22, 2027: Mass at 2:00 p.m. and a reception at 6:00 p.m., for 180 people in 52 households, on the Mis Quince Años design by Raven Erebus. Thirty-eight households have email, nine are reached by text message, three in Mexico answer on WhatsApp, and two sets of grandparents receive a printed card with a phone reply line. The event language is set to Spanish, and the card carries Spanish and English blocks. The caterer needs the final count on May 8, so the family requests RSVPs by May 1 and sets May 4 as the final follow-up cutoff, and sends the invitation about seven weeks ahead, inside this guide's 6 to 8 week recommendation.

  • Monday, March 22, 2027: The family builds the list: 52 households with every member named, Corte tags on the 14 members of the court for later messages, and the RSVP page set with the May 1 reply date, a multiple choice meal question (pollo, res, or menú infantil), and a checkbox question for Misa and Recepción. Rehearsal attendance is confirmed with the court directly by text. The guest list size of the mailing is 180.
  • Saturday, March 27: A trial-mode proof goes from a separate test mailing to Valeria, her mother, and her abuela; two accents are fixed, the English block's reception time is corrected to match the Spanish, and the household meal answers come back by name as expected. The family purchases the real mailing, runs the pre-send check, and schedules the send for Saturday, April 3, 2027, at 10:00 a.m.
  • Thursday, April 1: A cousin's new family is added as a household of four, bringing the list to 184 people in 53 households. Because Schedule Send covers every unsent contact, they are included on Saturday without any change.
  • Saturday, April 3: The email and text invitations go out, seven weeks ahead. The same morning the family copies the three Mexico households' personalized links with Copy Link / Send Plain Text and pastes each into a WhatsApp message, and prints two cards for the grandparents with a line asking them to call or text by May 1.
  • Tuesday, April 6: With the Delivery Optimizer enabled, the unopened email and text invitations are resent three days after the initial send, skipping guests who opened or responded; the WhatsApp households and the grandparents are followed up by hand.
  • Saturday, April 24: One week before the reply date, an RSVP reminder email goes to the households that have not replied; the two phone-only families still outstanding get a text through the Message Center.
  • Saturday, May 1: The requested RSVP date. A brief final note goes to the remaining non-responders, one channel per household. Abuela calls to say yes for two, and the answer is recorded on Track against her household.
  • Monday, May 3: One personal follow-up to the last three households, using each household's preferred channel. To one aunt: "Hola, tía. ¿Nos confirmas en la invitación a más tardar el martes 4 de mayo si pueden venir? Ese día tenemos que cerrar la lista para el salón."
  • Tuesday, May 4: The family closes RSVPs manually. The expected headcount based on RSVPs is 150, and all 150 guests marked attending are coming to the reception; the list also shows 30 guests not attending and 4 with no reply (150 + 30 + 4 = 184). Meal answers from the 150 attending: 88 pollo, 50 res, and 12 menú infantil (88 + 50 + 12 = 150).
  • Saturday, May 8: The guest list and RSVPs export to a spreadsheet for the seating chart, and the caterer receives the count of 150 with the meal totals, two weeks before the celebration.

The dates and numbers are illustrative. A family sending a save the date first would send it 2 to 3 months ahead, this guide's suggestion for a milestone birthday, and import the same contacts into the invitation mailing from the address book later.

When to Send Quinceañera Invitations

Choose the RSVP date by working backward from the earliest caterer or venue final-count deadline, leaving a few days for follow-up. Our timing guide has no quinceañera row of its own; for a celebration like the ceremony and catered reception in this example, this guide recommends sending invitations 6 to 8 weeks ahead, which usually puts the reply date 3 to 4 weeks before the celebration and the caterer's count about a week after it. Relatives traveling from another state or country benefit from a save the date 2 to 3 months out, this guide's planning suggestion, which on Greenvelope is its own mailing with no RSVP.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to send quinceañera invitations online?

On Greenvelope, choose a design from the quinceañera collection, write the card in Spanish and English, set the event language under Details, add each family as a household on the Send step, set the reply date and meal question on the RSVP page, and send by email or by text message in supported countries; on a paid account you can also share a household's personalized link on WhatsApp. Guests reply on the invitation without an account, and the Track page shows every response and meal answer. Reminder emails go to guests who have not replied, and the list exports for the caterer and the seating chart.

Can I send a quinceañera invitation in Spanish and English on the same card?

On Greenvelope, yes: the editable text areas hold both languages, usually as two stacked blocks that each carry the hosts, the quinceañera's name, the date, the reception location and time, any ceremony details, the reply date, and the dress code. Keep the blocks equivalent in meaning rather than word for word, and write the Spanish deadline as a más tardar el followed by the date. Survey questions can be written on one line in both languages.

Can guests see the RSVP page in Spanish?

On Greenvelope, yes: the event language setting under Details presents the guest-facing text, including the RSVP buttons, in Spanish, English, German, French, or Dutch, and a custom language template lets you rewrite labels such as the reply buttons yourself. One event carries one language setting, so pick the language more of your guests will want on the buttons and write the card in both. Automatic translation of your wording is not described in the documentation.

How do families RSVP together for a quinceañera?

On Greenvelope, add the family as a household under one primary contact with each member named, so one link reaches them and the person completing the RSVP records a separate attendance response for each named guest. Survey questions appear after a guest selects an RSVP response and save to that guest's record; check in your proof send that a household's meal answers identify each attending person's choice. Every named member counts toward the guest list size of the mailing, whether or not they reply.

Can I send quinceañera invitations by text message or WhatsApp?

Greenvelope sends the invitation by text message to mobile numbers in supported countries, and paid accounts start with 500 text messages, with more available to purchase. For WhatsApp, on a paid account open the dropdown at the far right of the contact row in the Send step, choose Copy Link / Send Plain Text, and paste that household's personalized invitation link into your own WhatsApp message. Greenvelope does not track delivery inside WhatsApp, and a chat reply does not automatically update the RSVP record, so guests respond through the invitation or you record the answer by hand.

How do I collect meal choices for the quince reception?

On Greenvelope, add a multiple choice survey question on the RSVP page with the caterer's actual entrees as the options, plus a children's meal where the caterer offers one. The question appears after a guest selects a response and saves to that guest's record; check in your proof send that a household's meal answers identify each attending person's choice, or use a write-in that asks for each attending guest's name and meal. Export the guest list and RSVPs to Excel or CSV before the caterer's deadline and check the totals against the attending count.

How far in advance should quinceañera invitations go out?

Set the reply date by working backward from the earliest caterer or venue final-count deadline, leaving a few days for follow-up. For a celebration with a ceremony and a catered reception, this guide recommends sending invitations 6 to 8 weeks ahead, which usually puts the reply date 3 to 4 weeks before and the caterer's count about a week after it. A save the date 2 to 3 months ahead is this guide's suggestion for relatives who need to travel or book a hotel.

What should a quinceañera invitation include?

On a Greenvelope card, include the hosts, the quinceañera's full name, the date spelled out, the reception location and time, any ceremony details such as a Mass with its church and time, the reply date, and the dress code in both languages, and use the details panel for the padrinos, the court of honor's schedule, parking, and the hotel block. The RSVP page carries the meal question and any question about which parts of the day a guest will attend. Spell the weekday and month out in each language and check them against a calendar.

How much does it cost to send quinceañera invitations online?

On Greenvelope, single mailings start at $19 for a guest list of up to 20 people, with pricing based on list size and no subscription required, and every named household member counts toward the tier. Paid accounts start with 500 text messages, with more available to purchase, and optional custom design services cost extra. A trial send to up to 10 people needs no credit card, which is enough to proof the bilingual card before you buy.
