Greenvelope Ads Automation Privacy Policy

Greenvelope Ads Automation is an internal tool Greenvelope staff use to report on and manage Greenvelope's own Google Ads accounts. This policy explains how it handles data received from Google APIs.

Effective date: November 4, 2026

This policy explains how Greenvelope Ads Automation, an internal tool built and operated by Greenvelope, accesses, uses, stores, shares, and deletes data it receives from Google APIs. It supplements the Greenvelope Privacy Notice at https://www.greenvelope.com/terms#privacy, which covers the Greenvelope invitation service and its customers.

Who uses Greenvelope Ads Automation

Greenvelope Ads Automation is used only by authorized Greenvelope staff to report on and manage Greenvelope's own Google Ads advertising accounts. It is not offered to customers or the public, and it does not access the Google accounts or advertising accounts of anyone outside Greenvelope.

Google user data we access

When an authorized Greenvelope staff member signs in with Google and grants permission, the tool uses the Google Ads API (the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords permission) to access the Google Ads accounts that staff member can manage. This includes:

  • Account, campaign, ad group, keyword, ad, and asset settings, including bids, budgets, and targeting
  • Search terms and performance reports, such as impressions, clicks, cost, and conversions
  • The change history needed to confirm what was changed and when

The tool does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, or any other Google service.

How we use this data

We use Google Ads data only to:

  • Report on and analyze the performance of Greenvelope's own advertising
  • Prepare changes to Greenvelope's own campaigns, such as bids, keywords, negative keywords, and ads
  • Apply those changes only after a Greenvelope staff member reviews and approves each one, and keep a log of every change made

We do not use Google user data for any other purpose.

How we share this data

We do not sell Google user data. We do not share, transfer, or disclose it to anyone outside Greenvelope, except:

  • Service providers that process it on Greenvelope's behalf only to run the tool, such as the AI-assisted analysis software our staff use to review reports. They may use the data only to provide that service to Greenvelope.
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Greenvelope or others
  • As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice and subject to this policy

Limited Use

Greenvelope Ads Automation's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, we do not use or transfer Google user data:

  • To serve targeted, personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising
  • To sell it to data brokers or information resellers
  • To determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes
  • To develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine learning models

Humans at Greenvelope read Google user data only to run and support the tool for Greenvelope's own advertising, for security purposes, or when required by law.

How we protect this data

  • Data travels between Google and the tool over encrypted HTTPS connections.
  • Google sign-in credentials are stored in the operating system's secure credential storage on a company computer, never in shared documents or source code.
  • Only authorized Greenvelope staff can run the tool, and changes to advertising accounts require a staff member's explicit approval.

Retention and deletion

Report exports and the change log are kept on Greenvelope-controlled computers only as long as they are needed for reporting and for auditing changes made to our advertising accounts, and are then deleted. Any user who granted access can revoke it at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. To ask us to delete Google user data the tool holds, email support@greenvelope.com. We will delete it within 30 days of the request.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Greenvelope Ads Automation uses Google user data, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
