# Guest Messaging on Greenvelope

Greenvelope includes built-in guest messaging tools that allow event hosts to communicate directly with their guest list before, during, and after an event.

## Messaging Features

- Send messages to your entire guest list or specific subsets of guests
- Filter recipients by RSVP status (attending, not attending, no response)
- Filter recipients by custom tags or groups
- Send reminders about upcoming RSVP deadlines
- Share last-minute event updates such as venue changes or schedule adjustments
- Send thank you messages after the event

## How Messaging Works

All messages are sent directly from the Greenvelope platform. Hosts compose a message from their event dashboard, select the recipients, and send. Guests receive the message via email. Hosts do not need to manage email addresses manually because the guest list is already stored in the platform.

## Auto-Reminders

Greenvelope supports automatic RSVP reminders. Hosts can schedule reminders to be sent to guests who have not yet responded. This reduces the need for manual follow-up and helps hosts get accurate headcounts before their event.

## Daily Updates

Hosts can opt into daily email summaries that provide updates on new RSVPs, open rates, and guest activity. These updates are delivered to the host's email and summarize the most recent guest list changes.

## Use Cases

- Wedding hosts reminding guests of an RSVP deadline
- Corporate event planners sending venue or parking details
- Birthday party hosts notifying guests of a time change
- Baby shower hosts sending a thank you note after the event
