Now is the time to send out the invitations \u2014 but how does one <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">address wedding invitations<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">? Don\u2019t worry \u2014 this is our forte.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is a formal way to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">address wedding invitations<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and we\u2019re happy to walk you through it. The questions may already be bubbling up in your own mind: Whose name should you write first? How do you tell <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">single guests<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> whether they\u2019re welcome to bring a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">plus one<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">? How do you invite a whole family?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All of these questions \u2014 and probably a few others \u2014 are about to be answered. If you do choose to send<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenvelope.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>digital invitations<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (and save plenty of paper in the process!), we\u2019ll address that further down in this post.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>The <\/b><b>Outer Envelope<\/b><b> for Mailing\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">outer envelope<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is where you print a guest\u2019s physical address. This is the envelope handled by your mail courier. You\u2019ll type (or hand write, if you\u2019re feeling ambitious) your <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">guests\u2019 names<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on the first line, complete with proper titles, first names, and last names (middle names are optional). While you can abbreviate a title, you should spell out first names.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next, write the physical address of your guests\u2019 home or <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">post office<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> box. Again, use full words here (no <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">abbreviations<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) writing <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Street<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> instead of St., Road instead of Rd., and so on.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>The <\/b><b>Inner Envelope<\/b><b> for Inviting\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">inner envelope<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, your guests will find the invitation suite. Each guest invited to the wedding will have their names printed on this envelope. Except this time, you just need to print titles and last names.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take note: This is your opportunity to be very specific about who is invited to your wedding. If you are welcoming <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">plus ones<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, you will allude to that here (more on this below). If you\u2019re inviting two people, both their names should be printed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now that you have the envelopes sorted out, it\u2019s time to address your invitations. But how does one do this? Below, you\u2019ll learn exactly how to address each envelope, depending on your <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">guests\u2019 names<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, titles, and relationships to one another.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Digital Invites With One Envelope<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, what happens if your <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">wedding invitations<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> only have one envelope?
