We were both shy and although we noticed\u00a0each other, we didn&#8217;t say a word<\/em>,&#8221; explains Kristin.\u00a0Fast forward five years later, and they&#8217;re in the process of planning what will be a truly timeless and romantic wedding. (If the proposal is any indication, we&#8217;re willing to bet on this!) Kristin and Dakota have also selected a\u00a0gorgeous\u00a0save-the-date from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenvelope.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Greenvelope.com<\/a> that ties in perfectly with the theme of their wedding.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2956\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greenvelope.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/KristinandDakota.jpg\" alt=\"Kristin and Dakota Disneyland Engagement Story\" width=\"816\" height=\"541\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.greenvelope.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/KristinandDakota.jpg 3208w, https:\/\/www.greenvelope.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/KristinandDakota-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.greenvelope.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/KristinandDakota-768x509.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.greenvelope.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/KristinandDakota-1546x1024.jpg 1546w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 816px) 100vw, 816px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Dakota pulled off the ultimate surprise last year\u00a0during a family trip to Disneyland, and one thing is for sure\u2014he was at the perfect\u00a0place at exactly\u00a0the right\u00a0time.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;My family and I went on a family trip to Disneyland this past Christmas.\u00a0Dakota couldn&#8217;t get the time off work, so it was just me and my family. It\u00a0was New Year\u2019s Eve and our last day before heading home. Disneyland was so\u00a0beautiful at Christmas and the castle made for the perfect photo spot,&#8221;<\/em> says Kristin.<\/p>\n<p>Little did she know, her prince charming was on the way. (All the way from\u00a0Edmonton, Alberta to Anaheim, California!)<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0&#8220;As I was standing there getting\u00a0my photo taken I could see my mom and sister&#8217;s expressions change and then\u00a0I felt a tap on my shoulder. After giving him a huge\u00a0hug and starting to cry because I was so happy to see him, he got down on\u00a0one knee and proposed! Kristin explains,\u00a0<em>&#8220;We knew it was the perfect spot for our\u00a0fairytale wedding! The Banff Springs is a gorgeous castle surrounded by the\u00a0mountains, making the perfect backdrop for an outdoor ceremony.
