When Greenvelope was founded in 2008, it was with sustainability at the forefront of its mission \u2013 a mission that still guides us today. Over the years, we\u2019ve been proud to further our impact by partnering with organizations like the National Park Foundation, the National Forest Foundation, and Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust, as well as joining the 1% for the Planet Network.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re thrilled to announce that our impact\u2013and, by extension, your impact\u2013is set to expand even more thanks to our recent partnership with <\/span>Tilth Alliance<\/span><\/a>, an incredibly thoughtful organization that \u201cworks in community with Washington farmers, gardeners and eaters to build a sustainable, healthy and equitable food future.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Tilth Alliance was created in 2016 when three organizations with over 90 combined years of critical work throughout Washington State\u2019s local and sustainable food movement joined forces. Education has always been at the core of that work and, using farms, gardens, and kitchens as classrooms, Tilth Alliance not only teaches people of all backgrounds about organic and sustainable practices but how to also prepare and eat what has been grown.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because a healthy environment is the foundation for growing healthy food, Tilth Alliance also manages a robust environmental stewardship program throughout the Seattle area. Stewards are trained in soil health, composting, recycling, natural resource conservation, and environmental restoration. They then apply that training directly within their communities, often serving communities of color, who continue to carry a disproportionate burden of urban environmental hazards\u2013hazards that climate change further impacts.<\/span><\/p>\n

The work Tilth Alliance does is both important and impressive. We\u2019re so proud to partner with them and hope that by sharing the news of this partnership you can feel that, too: your continued support of Greenvelope and its partners really does make a huge impact.<\/span><\/p>\n
